Billy was the love of our lives and whilst only with us for three short, but wonderful years, he sadly passed over the rainbow bridge with lymphoma cancer.
He holds a very dear and special place in our hearts and the choice of name for our kennel prefix is in loving memory of him.
He was our introduction to the dog showing world and as a novice handler,
I (Kim), found a new sport to love and with Peter, (our biggest fan at ringside),
we made a pretty good team!
Billy's show achievements included:-
Multi Class wins, BOBs, RUBOBs, DCCs, RDCCs and Age in Group wins.
At the RRC Inc Championship Show 10th April 2004
(Judge: Ms C Burton)
He was awarded INTERMEDIATE IN SHOW and BEST HEADED DOG.
He was also short listed to the final 4 for best gaited dog.
At the Liverpool and District ABKC Championship Show 13th Aug 2005
He was awarded RUNNER UP IN GROUP and AUST BRED IN GROUP.
We would like to take this opportunity to say many thanks to all our
family and friends for their love and support, through Billy's passing.
Also a special thankyou to Sarah Baker of Umkimzulu RRs
for her help and support during this difficult time,
for breeding Billy and allowing him to be apart of our family,
we will be forever grateful!
Thankyou again everyone!
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge...
By the edge of the woods, at the foot of a hill,
Is a lush green meadow where time stands still.
Where friends of man and woman do run,
When their time on earth is over and done.
For here, between this world and the next,
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.
No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed,
Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.
They romp through the grass, without even a care,
Until one day they start to sniff the air,
All ears pricked forward, eyes dart front and back,
Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack
For just at that instant, their eyes they have met,
Together again, both person and pet.
So they run to each other, these friends from long past,
The time of their parting is over at last.
The sadness they felt while they were apart,
Has turned into joy once more in each heart.
They embrace with a love that will last forever,
And then side-by-side, they cross over... together.
